I found the tiniest hotel room in Stockholm!

On my trip to Stockholm, Sweden, last fall, I decided to stay on a boat instead of on land.  I booked a room with a bath on the Red Boat, a hostel on the river.  The room was an odd shape – not just because of the curvature of the boat.  This is the widest part of the room.  The bed was clearly meant for two – and would have been comfortable, except for the length.  The end of the bed where the pillow shows had a wall there, too.

The chain in the upper right of the picture was attached to a drop-down single sized bed.  To the right, in the alcove was a raised desk with a stool and waste basket under it.  I used it to put my suitcase on and stored my tote bag under it.  The doorknob on the right opens the door to the bathroom.

This shows the “closet.”  The door on the right leads out of the room.  The door on the left is the bathroom, which as you can see is very narrow.  There is a curtain that covers the door for when you are using the hand-held shower to actually shower with.  The floor has a drain in it, so the whole room is your shower.

nightclubs,  (That is not a man climbing the rigging.  This place appeared to have a pirate theme for its décor.)

The class I attended was held in this beautiful old building which was originally a brewery.

It rained every day until the last day I was there, so I did not see any other sights.  Maybe next time…
